Joining an emerging boutique betting consultancy focused on cutting-edge machine learning for sports betting, looking to expand.
We are a small and growing team so an opportunity to contribute in a very meaningful way is required.
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining predictive models across a range of sports.
- Researching and applying novel modelling techniques.
- Interacting with traders and subject matter experts to get feedback on model outputs.
- Contributing and improving code quality, efficiency and testing suites.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Data Science (or relevant subject) and/or 1-2 years in professional workplace (doesn't have to be sports related but is a very nice to have)
- Interest in sports; this has to be tangible and provable ie "I like watching Man U play" isn't enough here (ideally cricket but any quantifiable interest in any sport will be looked at)
- Ability to code in Python; this will be tested as part of the interview process and we are expecting the person to come in and be able to start contributing to our codebase on Day 1 without much supervision.
