Possessing strong management experience, you will assist the onboarding and subsequent management of a complete Sportsbook trading and pricing function and ensure this function manages and grows the Sportsbook profitability of our partners. You and your team will play a vital role in growing individual sports revenue and controlling the trading proposition of all key sports provided to the brands of multiple Sportsbook partners.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with defining the needs of a recruitment process and subsequently actively participate in the hiring process of all resource connected to Sportsbook trading, odds compilation, and trading proposition.
- Coach, mentor and the supervise a team of Sports traders establishing a culture of high performance and one where high performance is rewarded and poor performance managed accordingly.
- Provides team with resources, tools, and processes to do their respective jobs.
- Work with the Senior Sports Trading Manager and other leaders across Trading to develop a strategy for the development of an industry leading B2B Sportsbook odds provision function creating a vision and KPIs for acceptable Sportsbook margins.
- Participate in real-time dialogue between Trading & Trading Support functions to support the requests of our partners and ensure odds are provided across all products where required.
- Oversee implementation and use of real-time event coverage monitors to ensure our trading coverage is met according to SLAs and publish odds for missing events where required.
- Ensure odds supplied by providers are real-time and are priced in line with market fluctuations and intervene where necessary.
- Support and assist with manual odds compilation of any sports/competitions/events/markets not covered through 3rd party trading vision. This would involve being comfortable with both pre-match and in-play trading.
- Assist with implementation and subsequent management of betting limits across all sports, competitions events and markets.
- Liaise with trading development teams to support implementation and improvement of new and existing trading models.
- Develop, create and maintain a reporting suite both from existing back-end functionality and with assistance from BI teams containing reports associated with individual sports profitability.
- Raise feature requests capable of being prioritised on product backlogs for all features related to functionality associated with odds compilation and sports trading proposition. This will include collaboration with Business Analysts on story writing.
Experience:
- Excellent knowledge across multiple sports and the sports betting domain including typical markets, rules, betting trends and latest trading innovation.
- Extensive Sportsbook industry experience with an ability to understand all Sportsbook trading processes and have a good understanding of typical trading back-end functionality.
- Flexible approach to working hours. The role will require the management of teams working 24/7 and where peak periods typically happen in evenings and on weekends.
- Available to travel as the role may require occasional face to face meetings with colleagues or to visit partners and/or 3rd parties.
